Aviation has changed a great deal in the last 20 years, with country sponsored airlines developing international and worldwide routes. This has put pressure on airline pilots and airlines, who may have only flown local routes and are not part of the worldwide airline network, to improve their English skills. Captain Tomas commented, "Twenty years ago we could get by with limited English but now ICAO require all pilots to attain level 4, so we have to do it."
English is now the required international language for all pilots. Tangent Training has developed a specific program designed to help pilots, cadets and non-English speaking aviation workers improve their English skills, focusing on the typical English vocabulary used in your field.
Due to the technical nature of this course, a minimum level of B2 is necessary prior to enrolment and taking the placement test will tell you your current English level. If you need help initially you can begin with our "General English course".
